Change AutoFill Preferences in Google Chrome

Delete Individual Entries:

To remove an autofill suggestion without going into settings, simply highlight the suggestion by hovering your mouse over the one you want to remove. Then at the same time, press the ‘shift’ and ‘delete’ keys on your keyboard.

Delete All Autofill Form Data in Chrome:

  1. Select the ‘more’ options in the top right corner of your window.
    (This will be the button with 3 small dots in a vertical line)
  2. In the drop-down menu select ‘More tools’ then ‘Clear Browsing Data’
  3. Uncheck the boxes automatically selected.
  4. Then scroll down and check the box next to ‘Autofill form data’ and click ‘Clear data’

Locate Autofill Preferences in Chrome:

  1. Select the ‘more’ options in the top right corner of your window (this will be the button with 3 small dots in a vertical line).
  2. In the drop-down menu select ‘Settings’
  3. On the left hand side of your window, select the ‘Autofill’ section. This will take you to your saved Passwords, Payment methods, Addresses and more.
  4. Select one of the three categories you want to edit and locate the Autofill entry you want to remove.
  5. Click the 3 vertical dots next to the entry to edit.

Change Autofill Preferences in Internet Explorer

Delete Individual Entries:

To remove individual autofill suggestions, double click the box where autofill is popping up.
Highlight the option by hovering your mouse over the entry you want to remove.
Do not click. While the entry is highlighted, press the delete key on your keyboard.

Delete All Autofill Form Data in Internet Explorer:

  1. Select the gear icon located in the top right hand corner of your window.
  2. Click ‘Internet Options’ and find the Content Tab.
  3. Under the AutoComplete section select ‘Settings’
  4. Located at the bottom of the window, select ‘Delete AutoComplete History’
  5. You can check/uncheck the boxes to choose which settings you’d like to remove, then select ‘Delete’

Locate Autofill Preferences in Internet Explorer:

Tools (gear icon) > Internet Options > Content Tab > Under the AutoComplete section select ‘Settings’


Change Autofill Preferences in Firefox

Delete Individual Entries:

Delete All Autofill Form Data in Firefox:

  1. Select the ‘more’ button in the top right-hand corner (this will have 3 horizontal lines).
  2. Select ‘History’ then ‘Clear Recent History’.
  3. Find and make sure ‘Form & Search’ is selected.
  4. Select the time range and make sure it’s set to ‘Everything’.
  5. Then confirm.

Locate Autofill Preferences in Firefox:

  1. Select the ‘more’ button in the top right-hand corner (this will have 3 horizontal lines).
  2. In the drop-down menu, select ‘Options’.
  3. From the categories on the left-hand side of the window, find and select ‘Privacy and Security’.
  4. Manage your settings under ‘Forms and Autofill’

Change AutoFill Preferences in Opera

Delete Individual Entries or Disable Autofill:

  1. Select the menu button in the top right corner (this will look like 2 horizontal lines with an arrow beneath it).
  2. Select ‘Settings’.
  3. Scroll down until you find the ‘Autofill’ section.
  4. To disable/enable autofill check/uncheck the box ‘Enable auto-filling of forms on webpages’.
  5. To delete individual entries, select ‘Manage Autofill settings’
  6. This will open a window where you can choose which entries to remove.

Change AutoFill Preferences in Safari

Locate Autofill Preferences:

  1. With a Safari window open, select Safari in the top left corner of the screen.
  2. Select Preferences,
  3. then find the Autofill tab.
  4. Select ‘Edit’ on the category you want to manage.
  5. From here you can edit or remove your entries.
